Job Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for the management, design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs including non-executive base and variable pay programs including incentives, special pay programs, etc. Consults with management on organization planning and decision-making regarding the most effective use of compensation, rewards and recognition resources. Partners with other HR disciplines to insure HR products and services are integrated and aligned with business objectives. Provides one-on-one communication with management on information related to compensation.
Key Accountabilities:
-Analysis and evaluation of competitive market information. Research of external labor market trends. Participate in market/salary surveys to collect competitive pay data; determine relevant markets and the validity of data collected.
-Provide internal consulting for HR. Responsible for line management of design, development, modeling, costing and execution of compensation programs.
-Design non-executive base pay, variable, and special pay programs that support business needs e.g.: commission and retention plans.
-Development of overall compensation cost projections, financial planning and reporting.
-Develop, analyze, and disseminate reports to appropriate levels within the organization. Support management-union pay negotiations.
-Measure effectiveness of programs in terms of cost associated with recruiting and retaining qualified employees.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Management.
-Five years of experience with design, implementation/administration and measurement of multiple pay programs, equivalent benefits-related experience or similar work experience.
-Preferred: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).
-Preferred: Previous experience in a consulting and business solutions environment.
-Demonstrated ability to communicate well with others.
-Proficient verbal, non-verbal, written, and presentation skills.
-Demonstrated ability with Project Management techniques and tools; accurately estimate, track, and manage project costs.
